Compliment her. Take her for coffee. Go for long walks. Cuddle. Talk about life. And teenage mutant ninja turtles. Have tickle wars. Text her late at night. Let her wear your sweater. Tell her you really like her. But no, you wouldn’t date her. You ‘just’ got out of a relationship. You like being single. You don’t believe in ‘long distance’. (Because, moving two hours away is the equivalent of moving half way across the universe). You like having her around without having any real commitment. You hung around for eight months and refused to let her move on. She doesn’t understand why you would put in so much effort if all you wanted was a girl that would put out. She had real feelings for you, but she’s not strong enough to accept that she deserves more.
I hope you realize that you’re giving her every reason to believe she isn’t worth anything at all.
